Review and edit translated strings

Last updated: September 8, 2026 · 2 min read

Compare source and target text, make corrections, and approve them.

Post-Edit lets you edit translation items without opening each page. Save and Approve are distinct actions.

Follow these steps

  1. 1

    Open the target language

    EditorCatalog Translation ManagementPost-Edit

Choose the source and target catalogs and open Post-Edit. Filter by Open, Review, Error, or All. Read the context identifying a page text, table cell, product field, or other item.

  2. 2

    Correct target text

    EditorPost-EditTarget

Compare the source and edit the target field. Resolve protected-term and empty-translation warnings. The row’s Save action applies the edit to the target catalog; typing alone does not save it.

  3. 3

    Approve or retry an item

    EditorPost-EditApprove

Save pending edits first. Choose Approve when the text is correct or Retry AI for another automated attempt. Approve all processes items needing review, so inspect them before using it.

  4. 4

    Check failures and page layout

    EditorOpen target in editor

Retry failed items with the batch retry action. Open the target in the editor and check length, overflow, line spacing, product fields, and contents. Correct translation does not guarantee layout fit.

Result

Confirm saved text appears in the target, resolve remaining issues, and review publication separately.
