Add an audio block

Last updated: September 8, 2026 · 1 min read

Present audio as a player card or icon button.

Changing the player appearance does not replace its audio source. Prepare a text equivalent for meaningful audio.

Follow these steps

  1. 1

    Upload audio

    PropertiesAudio File

Insert an audio preset from Elements > Media. Use Upload audio to choose MP3, WAV, OGG, or a supported MP4. Listen after uploading. Removing audio clears the source from this block.

  2. 2

    Set metadata and appearance

    PropertiesPlayer Style

Enter a title and artist. Choose Minimal Card or Icon Button, then theme, play/sound/microphone icon, circle/square shape, size, and color. Add or remove a cover image as needed.

  3. 3

    Choose controls

    PropertiesControls

Choose progress, time, volume, repeat, and skip controls. Loop and autoplay are separate settings. A browser may not start audio automatically; verify start/stop access in preview.

  4. 4

    Provide an equivalent

    PropertiesTranscript or description

For an accessible publication, provide meaningful speech and essential sound information. A track title is not a transcript. Update this text when replacing the audio.

Check your result

Check the result in preview, then verify the reader experience in the published version.
