Interactive blocks

Last updated: September 8, 2026 · 1 min read

Let readers open links, explore media, and interact with content.

The object on the page and the content it opens can have separate settings. Start with the relevant block lesson.

Follow these steps

  1. 1

    Choose the block

    EditorElements

Use a button for a link, hotspots for points on an image, a slideshow for an in-page sequence, and a gallery for photos opened in a lightbox. Maps, 3D, and virtual tours use Embed.

  2. 2

    Test reader behavior

    EditorPreview

Canvas selection differs from a reader click. Open preview and test the action, opened content, and closing behavior. Do not expect video playback, form submission, or slide transitions in a PDF; prepare accessible equivalents using the relevant lessons.

Check your result

Check the result in preview, then verify the reader experience in the published version.
