Change catalog language and size

Last updated: September 8, 2026 · 2 min read

Distinguish settings changes from creating a resized copy.

Resizing creates a separate draft copy rather than applying new dimensions over the original catalog.

Follow these steps

  1. 1

    Open Catalog Settings

    EditorEditCatalog Settings

Open Catalog Settings for the current catalog and review dimensions, single/spread layout, and content language.

  2. 2

    Enter new dimensions

    EditorCatalog SettingsSize

Choose a preset or custom size and check the unit. A changed size shows Copy and Resize with an explanation. Objects can need repositioning in the new copy.

  3. 3

    Set content language

    EditorCatalog SettingsContent language

Choose the content language for pronunciation, publication UI, and document metadata. This does not translate the catalog; use Catalog Translation for another edition.

  4. 4

    Save and inspect

    EditorCatalog SettingsSave

Complete the displayed save/copy action. For a resized copy, check its name, page bounds, text overflow, masters, and links.

Result

Continue in the intended catalog and prepare the new copy’s publication separately.
