Adding, duplicating and reordering pages

Learn how to add pages to a catalog, duplicate an existing page, change the order and delete pages.
The Pages panel shows every page in the catalog as a thumbnail. It sits at the top by default and can be moved below the canvas. The cover is always a single page; in spread view the pages after the cover pair up into sheets, so changing the order changes the pairing as well.

Open the Pages panel

The Pages tab of the right panel lists the catalog in order. The label under each thumbnail reads Cover for the first page and a page number for the rest. The panel header shows the total, and the used and allowed counts when your plan sets a limit.
Show pages at the bottom moves the list under the canvas as a filmstrip. The preference is stored in your browser and does not affect the catalog.

Add a new page

New page inserts an empty page immediately after the current page. To insert after another page, use that page’s Add page after this one control.
A new page inherits the catalog page size and the assigned parent template, if there is one.

Duplicate a page

Hover the page and choose Duplicate page. The copy, with all of its blocks, is added right after the source. For pages that share a layout, duplicating and replacing the content is faster than building from scratch.

Change the order

Drag the page in the list and drop it. In the right panel the drag handle sits at the left of the row; in the filmstrip you drag the thumbnail itself. In spread view the sheet pairing is recalculated when the order changes.
The cover stays where it is: the first page of a catalog counts as a sheet of its own.

Select several pages and delete them

Click pages or use Select all for a multiple selection; the panel states how many pages are selected. The delete confirmation names the number of pages. Choose Clear selection to drop it.
Deleting a page deletes its blocks too. The last page of a catalog cannot be deleted.

Hide or show a page

Use page visibility to hide without deleting. Check the selection count for bulk actions. Hidden pages are excluded during publication preparation; show them again and update the publication when needed.

Add page numbers through a master

In master-edit mode, use Add page number in Pages. Place the number token and apply the master to pages. Contents page numbers come from their own heading/page mapping.

Result
The page order is the reading order of the catalog: the publication, the exports and the accessible edition all follow it. Changing the order leaves the link and the embed code untouched and updates the content.
