Importing

Two distinct ways to bring existing work into Creavim: InDesign IDML for editable structure, or PDF for preserving the original page appearance.

Id

Import from InDesign (IDML)

Your IDML is rebuilt with fonts, styles and master pages intact, while design elements remain editable blocks.

  1. 1

    Export as IDML

In InDesign, choose File → Export and pick the IDML format. Make sure linked images are included in the package.

  2. 2

    Upload your file

Drop your IDML on the "Import from InDesign" card on the home page. Pages, styles and masters are rebuilt automatically.

  3. 3

    Edit and enrich

Every block in the imported catalog is selectable. Add what print never could: video, forms, product cards, cart.

PDF

Import from PDF

PDF pages are first imported with their original appearance intact. When editing is required, only the page you choose is converted into editable content.

  1. 1

    Upload your PDF

Drop your file on the "Import from PDF" card on the home page. Pages are processed in the background with live progress.

  2. 2

    Choose the page to edit

Open only the page you need for editing. Complex PDF structures may require a review of fonts and layout after conversion.

  3. 3

    Edit and publish

Edit your pages, add interactivity and publish in one click; share by link or on your own domain.
