Saving, revisions, and restoring

Save your work and create revisions at useful checkpoints.
Saving a draft, saving a revision, and updating a publication are separate actions. A revision alone does not change the reader’s published pages.
Follow these steps

Check saving completes

Watch the save status while working. Cmd/Ctrl+S triggers saving. If an error appears, check your connection and the message before closing the page. Seeing an object on canvas is not confirmation that it was saved.

Create a checkpoint

Before a major edit, choose Save revision. The dropdown beside Share provides the same action. Wait for success and check the saved date in the revision list.

Restore an earlier revision

Open Revisions, choose Restore on the desired entry, and read the confirmation. Restoring replaces current page content with that revision’s pages and saves them. Save a revision of current pages first if you want to keep them.

Manage publication separately

To make restored or edited pages available to readers, complete the publication/update flow in Share. Do not treat page revisions as backups of all product data or the whole workspace.
Result
Confirm the checkpoint appears in Revisions. After restoring, inspect the pages and the save result.
