Import products from Excel and CSV

Validate a file before applying new products and updates.
Processing a file and applying it to product records are separate stages. Check job status and product count in the history.
Follow these steps
- 1
Download the right template
EditorManagementImport
Select a data template in Import and download its sample CSV. Follow its column names and structure for product SKUs, variants, and images. Do not assume arbitrary headings will map automatically.
- 2
Select and validate the file
EditorImportFile
Select a CSV, XLSX, or XLS file. Check the dry-run option, submit the upload, and wait for its result. Selecting a file alone does not start processing.
- 3
Inspect results
EditorImportJobs
In Import History, check filename, processing status, and product count. If an error is reported, compare headings, numeric formats, and SKUs with the template before uploading again. A product count in history does not mean the records have already been applied.
- 4
Apply to product records
EditorProductsImportApply to Database
Use the transfer action on the intended job. Check the created and updated counts. Existing SKUs may update existing records, so this is not always an add-only operation.
- 5
Use the imported data
EditorProducts
Inspect several imported records for price, currency, description, images, and variants. Then link them to product cards or tables. Importing data does not automatically build your page layout.
Result
Compare job history with the product list and verify sample records against the source file.
