Build a slideshow
Last updated: September 8, 2026 · 1 min read
Present image and video slides in one page area.
Each slide has its own source and description. Playback settings apply to the collection.
Follow these steps
- 1
Add slides
PropertiesSlides
Insert a slideshow preset from Elements > Media, then use the plus in Properties > Slides. Set each slide’s type to Image or Video.
- 2
Set the sources
PropertiesSlides
For images, use Choose from gallery or Add file. For video slides, enter a playable video-file URL rather than a video sharing page. After changing a slide’s type, check its source again.
- 3
Set order and framing
PropertiesSlides
Use up/down arrows to reorder slides and delete to remove a slide. Choose Cover or Contain for images. Reset frame restores centered default covering and scale.
- 4
Configure playback
PropertiesPlayback
Configure autoplay, interval, dots, arrows, loop, Fade/Slide transition, and radius. Leave enough time to read the content when using automatic transitions.
- 5
Add alternatives and captions
PropertiesSlides
With accessible authoring on, name the slideshow. Describe each meaningful image and decide decoration per slide. For video slides, prepare a description and caption tracks with language, label, and default selection.
- 6
Try navigation
EditorPreview
Test the first and last slides, arrows/dots, looping, and video playback. Removing a slide is different from deleting its source from the library.
Check your result
Check the result in preview, then verify the reader experience in the published version.
Troubleshooting
- A video slide will not play
- Check that the type is Video and the URL points to a playable file. Use Embed for a service page such as YouTube.
- A slide photo is cropped
- Cover may crop to fill the frame. Choose Contain to show the whole photo; empty space is expected.
