Import a PDF and add page content
Last updated: September 8, 2026 · 2 min read
Turn PDF pages into a catalog and add interactive content.
The initial import places each PDF page as an image. Converting a selected page into editable content is a separate action.
Follow these steps
- 1
Choose a PDF
EditorImport from PDF
Choose PDF import on the start screen and upload your .pdf file within the displayed size limit. After upload progress, wait for page processing.
- 2
Compare pages
EditorPages
Once the catalog opens, check page count, order, and appearance. Text inside the page image is not directly selectable as a text block. You do not need to decompose the page merely to add new content.
- 3
Add blocks on top
EditorElements
Add text, buttons, hotspots, or media and position them on the page. You can lock the imported page image in Layers to avoid moving it. Test the added actions in preview.

Edit original content when needed
EditorEdit PDF page
To change text or images inside the PDF itself, use Make editable as described in the next lesson. Do not assume every scanned page will yield editable text.
Result
Check the page images and overlaid blocks, then decide separately whether source-content editing is needed.
