Card images and the product gallery

Last updated: September 8, 2026 · 1 min read

Distinguish a card-specific image choice from changes to the shared product gallery.

Selecting a photo changes this card. Uploading, removing, or reordering gallery photos changes the product record.

Follow these steps

  1. 1

    Choose this card’s photo

    PropertiesCard image

Select a linked card and click a thumbnail to show it on this card. The Select for Studio control marks images for AI Studio; it is a different action from choosing the card photo.

  2. 2

Add an image to the product

    PropertiesUpload image to product

Choose a file with Upload image to product and wait. The photo is added to the product gallery and selected on this card. Existing gallery photos remain. Other cards linked to the same product can use the shared gallery.

  3. 3

    Understand reorder and remove

    PropertiesCard image

Drag thumbnails to reorder them. The order is saved on the product; the first image is the default cover. Read the confirmation before removing an image from the product gallery. Cards using that removed photo fall back to the cover.

  4. 4

    Fit the photo

    PropertiesImage Settings

Choose square or portrait proportions. Contain shows the whole photo and may leave space; Cover fills the area and may crop its edges. Image radius rounds the photo’s corners. Keep important product details visible.

  5. 5

    Review alternatives

    PropertiesAccessible publication

When authoring an accessible publication, describe meaningful product photos. Mark a photo decorative only when it carries no information. After replacing a photo, check that its description is still accurate.
