Connect and refresh Google Sheets

Last updated: September 8, 2026 · 2 min read

Import your product sheet and refresh information from the same source.

Initial import can create products. Refresh from Sheets updates matching existing SKUs; add new SKUs through the import flow.

Follow these steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the sheet

    EditorManagementImport

Follow the selected import template and keep SKUs stable. Check the sheet URL and the gid identifying the intended worksheet tab.

  2. 2

Grant access to a private sheet

    EditorGoogle Sheets

Share the private sheet with creavim-sheets-reader@creavim-worker.iam.gserviceaccount.com as Viewer in Google Sheets. You do not need to make it public. Confirm that the shared file matches the URL entered in Creavim.

  3. 3

    Complete the initial import

    EditorImportGoogle Sheets

Enter the URL and gid if needed. Check the template and dry-run option, then import. Review status and product count in history and use Apply to Database on the intended job.

  4. 4

    Refresh existing products

    EditorProductsRefresh from Sheets

Use the Sheets refresh button in Products. If no source is configured, enter the URL and choose Save and Update. With a source already set, the same sheet is read again. Check the reported updated-product count.

  5. 5

    Check matches and errors

    EditorProducts

Products absent from the sheet are not automatically deleted, and new unmatched SKUs are skipped. Source changes are applied to matching product records. A partial error can mean some records were updated; inspect the report and affected products.

  6. 6

    Review cards and publication

    EditorPreview

Check cards and tables using updated products. Shared product data and published page layout are separate. Previously downloaded PDFs do not refresh themselves; export again when needed.

Result

Verify the expected SKUs were refreshed from the intended worksheet. For access errors, check sharing and gid first.
