Make a PDF page editable

Edit text, shapes, and images from a selected PDF page.

This converts the selected imported page image, not the entire catalog at once. Other objects added to the page are preserved during conversion.

Follow these steps

    Select the imported page image

    Select the imported PDF page image. PDF editing is not available for an ordinary image block. If the source PDF is missing, conversion cannot proceed from the image alone.

    Start conversion

    Open the PDF edit action and read the confirmation. On completion, editable objects replace the imported page image. Allow the request to finish.

    Inspect objects and fonts

    Edit text, images, and shapes separately. Check missing-font warnings, line breaks, and positions against the source. A no-editable-content message means this method did not recover editable objects for that page.

    Understand reverting

    Reverting PDF editing restores the page’s block list from before conversion. Later edits on that page can be lost too; save a revision first if you need to preserve them.

Result

Compare text and layout with the source, then save. Conversion does not automatically complete accessibility descriptions.
