Configure image columns and make the table easier to read.

Header, body, and column settings have different scopes. Select the table and open the appropriate section.

Follow these steps

  1. 1

    Use an image column

    PropertiesColumns

Set the column Type to Image. In an image cell, use Upload from file or Choose from gallery; Remove image clears that cell. Contain preserves the whole image, Cover crops, and Fill can distort proportions. Set the maximum image height.

  2. 2

    Style header and body

    PropertiesTypography

Use the Header text and Body text controls for font, size, bold, italic, underline, and alignment. Columns also has individual alignment and bold controls. Reset header removes header-specific typography adjustments.

  3. 3

    Set lines and fills

    PropertiesGrid Lines

Toggle horizontal, vertical, and outer lines independently, then set width and cell padding. In Colors, choose header, row, line, and alternating-row colors. Check Show header and Striped rows.

  4. 4

    Describe the table

    PropertiesAccessibility

Describe what the table contains in Table title or description. Enable Use first column as row headers when that column names the rows. This is unavailable when the first column is an image column.

  5. 5

    Review image alternatives

    PropertiesImage Cells

Describe the information each image contributes to its row. Mark only decorative images as decorative. Review colors and column headings, then check the table in the accessible publication.
