A path’s points, curves and appearance remain editable after drawing. Choose the lesson for the task you want to complete.
- Draw straight and curved paths with the Pen tool
Place points to draw your own line or shape, then finish it as an open path or a closed shape.
- Edit path points and curves
Reshape a drawing by moving, adding or removing points and adjusting curve handles.
- Continue drawing an open path
Add new points from either end of a path you previously finished.
- Cut and close paths
Open a path at a chosen location, remove a section between cuts, or connect its open ends.
- Style a path with fills and strokes
Adjust a path’s fill, outline, end markers and shadow.
- Make and release a compound path
Collect several paths in one object or release a compound path into separate pieces.
