Fill your own path with an image

Use a custom pen drawing as a photo frame.

Unlike a ready-made shape, a path lets you reshape individual points and curves later. Adding an image does not require you to redraw the path.

Follow these steps

Select your drawing

Use the selection tool to click the path. Its fill, stroke and editing controls appear in Properties.

Choose an image fill

Expand Image fill. Choose From file to upload a photo, or From gallery to use an available image.
From gallery is shown only when there are images to choose from.

Position the photo

Open Crop to adjust the visible area. Drag the photo to move it and use its corner handles to resize it. Select Apply when finished.

Reshape the path if needed

Select Edit path to reveal its points. Move a point or a curve handle to change the frame, then select Done. Check the image placement inside the new outline.
Double-clicking a path with an image fill opens cropping. Use Edit path when you want to work on the drawing points.

Control	Where	What it does
Image fill	Properties	Manages the photo inside the path.
Edit path / Done	Properties	Starts or finishes editing the points and curves.
Apply over image	Properties	Draws the fill color or gradient over the photo. Fill intensity controls its strength.

Your drawing defines the visible photo boundary. The image fill and the path remain separately editable.

A color appears over the photo: Apply over image places the fill color or gradient above the image. Turn it off or lower Fill intensity.
Double-clicking does not reveal points: A filled path opens Crop on double-click. Finish with Apply or Cancel, then choose Edit path.
